LiveStrato privacy policy

Version 1.2  ·  Effective 24 October 2026  ·  Reviewed at least once a year

This policy explains what data LiveStrato and codestrato.com handle, where it is kept, and what you can ask us to do with it.

The short version. LiveStrato keeps your shop data on your own computer. CodeStrato does not sell it or share it. When you connect TikTok Shop, LiveStrato reads order status, amounts, fees and product stock so it can work out what sold and what you made. It does not keep buyer names, addresses, phone numbers or email addresses. If you choose to show your top spenders on your live stream, LiveStrato keeps those buyers' TikTok usernames, which viewers already see in the live when a buyer wins.

1. Who we are

CodeStrato is a trading name of Vibes Gym Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 10505142), registered office Unit 5d St. Francis Way, Shefford, England, SG17 5DZ. Contact: hello@codestrato.com.

For data a seller keeps in LiveStrato, the seller is in charge of that data and decides what goes in it. For enquiries sent to us through codestrato.com, CodeStrato is the controller.

2. What LiveStrato handles

TikTok Shop order responses can include buyer details. LiveStrato discards buyer names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses and user IDs as soon as a response arrives and never writes them to disk. The only buyer detail LiveStrato keeps is the username of a buyer the seller shows as a top spender, and the seller can remove it at any time.

3. Where it is kept

All LiveStrato data is stored in a database file on the seller's own computer, with automatic local backups in the same folder. Access keys for TikTok Shop and Shopify are encrypted with the computer's own keychain (macOS Keychain or Windows Data Protection), so they cannot be read from a copy of the database. Data moving between LiveStrato and any service it uses is encrypted with HTTPS.

Two features send data off the seller's computer, and only when the seller uses them:

LiveStrato is used by sellers in the United Kingdom. Seller data is stored on the seller's computer. CodeStrato's server is hosted by netcup. The third parties LiveStrato talks to are TikTok Shop, Shopify if the seller chooses, and OpenAI and Anthropic for the photo and lookup tools above.

4. What we do not do

5. How long it is kept

The seller decides. Data stays on their computer until they delete it. Local backups older than 14 days are deleted automatically. Customer screen data on our server is gone within 12 hours. Pressing Disconnect in LiveStrato's TikTok Shop settings deletes the TikTok access keys at once, and LiveStrato can no longer reach the shop. When a seller stops using LiveStrato, deleting the LiveStrato data folder removes everything, and we will help with that on request.

6. Requests from buyers and sellers

If a buyer asks a seller or TikTok Shop to see, correct or delete their data, including their username shown on a stream, we will help the seller find and remove anything relating to that buyer in LiveStrato within 30 days. A seller can remove a buyer's username from the Live screen at any time. A seller can ask us for help with any of their own rights under UK GDPR by emailing hello@codestrato.com.

7. If something goes wrong

If we find or suspect a security problem affecting LiveStrato users' data, we will tell TikTok Shop within 24 hours, tell affected sellers within 72 hours, and report it to the Information Commissioner's Office when the law requires. Details are in our security policy.

8. codestrato.com

If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address and message so we can reply. We keep them in our email account for up to 2 years, then delete them. The website sets no tracking or advertising cookies.

9. Complaints

Please contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

10. Changes

We will update the version and date above whenever this policy changes, and tell LiveStrato users about material changes in the app.
